What are the 7 chakras
Nowadays, people have been a part of the fad of taking a more spiritual approach into their mental, emotional and even physical well-being. Most spiritual gurus talk about how important it is for an individual to have chakras that are aligned, how it is vital to attain on one's road to enlightenment but what most of them don't discuss is what are chakras, where do they come from and how can one describe them?
Chakra, a word that can also be spelled as Cakra, came from an Indo-Aryan language that is the Sanskrit where then they call it C̣akra, which in direct translation in English means "Wheel" the wheel has something to do with any of a number of psychic-energies that centers the body. It is a prominent idea in the occult physiological practices of certain forms of Hinduism and Tantric Buddhism.
Chakras are said to be the circular vortexes of energy and these said energies are likely to be placed in seven different points on the spinal column. Experts say that all the seven chakras are connected to the various organs and glands within the body. These chakras are responsible for disturbing the life energy, which is also known as Qi or Prana ( A Chinese term that defines energy as life force) If these 7 pointed energy centers get blocked, one may experience physical or emotional symptoms related to a particular chakra.
Now that you know what chakra is, then where did it come from? The chakra system originated way back in in India between 1500 and 500 BC and it is written in the oldest text called the Vedas which is the collections of hymns, prayers, and liturgical formulas that comprise the earliest Hindu sacred writings, meaning chakras are treated so powerfully and solemnly by Hindus that it is even written on their oldest most profound writings.
But there are some things that are a bit of a blur. What is Chakra and why is it so important?
The word is often defined as a spinning disk or a wheel, so a chakra on the human body is a spinning disk or wheel of energy that runs along the person's spine. There are seven main chakras along an individual's spine, though some claim that there are as many as 114 chakras all over the body. The main and most important ones are all spinning on one's spine. The health of one’s chakras is directly connected to the health of the physical body, the mind, and the emotional wellbeing of a person. That is why it is very vital to align this so you can be holistically 'tuned' for an aligned set of 7 chakras that amplifies good life in all other aspects like physical and then the rest will follow. There are several ways to align these chakras. Some try the tuning fork technique, it is done by placing a vibrating tuning fork on a chakra, it is said to initiate sound frequencies that stimulate the body to create the frequencies it needs to bring itself into alignment. Like striking a musical tuning fork and finding nearby tuning forks vibrating in harmony. Which chakras should be, in vibrating in harmony.
As the chakras refer to energy points in your body. These spinning disks of energy are believed to stay “open” and aligned, at all times as they correspond to bundles of nerves, major organs, and areas of our energetic body that affect our emotional and physical well-being. The function of the chakras is to spin and draw in these energies to keep the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical health of the body in balance.
That is why it is extremely vital to have these chakras flowing and aligned as it greatly reflects one's life and general well-being. Don't just jump into fad! Study and learn about the rich and beautiful culture it comes from then you might just appreciate it even more and live up to its ideals correctly.
